What is this dataset, and how complete is it?

A compiled directory of 916 UK artificial grass installers, built from Companies House filings, public business listings and the installers’ own websites. 795 carry a review rating, 28,941 reviews are aggregated in total, 870 are geolocated and 173 are matched to an active Companies House registration. It covers 2,139 towns and counties. Last verified 9 August 2026.

Attribution

Ratings, review counts and review text originate from installers’ public business listings, retrieved through the Google Places API. Reviews remain the words of the people who wrote them; we publish them unedited and never generate, solicit or reword them. This page is the attribution surface for that data across the whole site.

How complete each field is

Published rather than glossed over, because a directory that pretends to be complete is a directory you cannot calibrate against.

What this dataset does not know

Data and sources: common questions

Where does this data come from?

Five public sources: Companies House for legal identity, Google Business Profiles for ratings and reviews, installers' own websites for brand assets and photographs, GeoNames for UK place data and postcodes.io for postcode resolution. The table above lists each one and what it contributes.

Is the review data real?

Yes. Ratings, review counts and review text are pulled directly from public business listings via the Google Places API. We do not generate reviews, solicit them, write them, or emit aggregateRating structured data for installers who have no reviews. Where an installer has no reviews on record we say so plainly and rank them below rated competitors rather than guessing.

How do I get my listing corrected or removed?

Email the correction with evidence and we will make it. Any installer who does not want to be listed can be removed on request — we will not argue about it. What we will not do is alter a ranking position or hide unflattering reviews, because that would make every other position on the site meaningless.

Can I use this data?

The underlying public records are open — Companies House and ONS data are Open Government Licence, GeoNames is CC-BY. Our compiled ranking, scoring and editorial content are not. Get in touch if you want to cite or reuse the compiled dataset; we would rather say yes with attribution than find it scraped.
