I was very impressed with Ashland Turf. They gave me a competitive quotation via WhatsApp and, once accepted, came over before starting the job to plan any access difficulties. They told me exactly what they would be doing and when, and stuck meticulously to their plans. The team were very personable and could not have been more helpful in offering advice on how to look after the turf, once laid. I am very pleased with the quality of the turf and it looks exactly as I had hoped. An excellent service, well done!

I went with Ashland because I wanted to support a local business. I wish I hadn't. Customer service was worse than non existent. I paid for lawn area to be prepared and family grass to be laid. They turned up in the afternoon of the hottest day of the year and spent a total of 30 seconds preparing the area for the turf. They rolled out the lawn impressively quickly but were scrambling around for offcuts from the previous job which didn't fill me with confidence. They didn't water the turf before they left. I followed their care advice to a tee regarding watering and cutting. After five weeks the grass looks patchy where it's clearly died or dried up underneath as it got longer. When I asked for more advice because I was concerned they rang me and became extremely defensive and argumentative. I would not recommend them to anyone. I spent well over £400 on the grass and am left really disappointed. I might just have been unlucky with it being a hot day and a tough job for them in the morning but they could have made it right by giving better advice and watering before they left on the day. They were so awful on the phone that I wouldn't want to talk to them again.
