We had our grass fitted by SGS back in May this year (2021) and they have done a great job. Our garden slopes in several directions and the 'grass area' was prone to water gathering in huge puddles every time it rained. This caused it to turn into a mucky, messy area and was getting to the stage it was unusable for our 2 kids and dog (the dog was still using it but brought more of the garden indoors with every visit!) We decided to go for artificial grass to cover an area of approx 36 metered square, to try and give us some garden back. We had 3 companies quote and decided to go with SGS as they provided a competitive quote and we also felt they would be able to handle our problematic garden, due to the larger pieces of work they had done previously. All the team were great, from quote to install. No hassles and work done timely and efficiently. Getting artificial grass fitted is an investment in itself so you want to know it is being done properly, and SGS did that for us. We highly recommend them and would go back again should we need additional work done.

Absouletly horrific experience with this company they have no respect for a customer paying good money out for a fence and all the guys who came out to do the job was suck up to my neighbour who was paying half the job only and do everything she wanted and ignore me who was also the customer. I also want to add that the neighbour also with the help of this company gave slanderous allegations to the police about me by giving false statements. Don’t use his company or all that’l happen is 1.They’ll not listen to you. 2.You won’t be able to contact the director as he’s always in meetings! 3.Last but not least you’ll have your good name slandered by this company when they take it apron themselves to give false statements to the police all to defend someone who they think will pay them the most money.

After a good initial impression, I wanted to proceed with an order - but it didn't happen. There were "communication issues" in advance of the supposed start date which meant I was double booked with someone else. I was told a new date would be booked in and that they'd do all they could to sort it out and make it happen asap and to expect call shortly to confirm things. Calls weren't then made and my voicemails to them were ignored. A few days later I got an email from them telling me they'd just won a big contract and that they won't be able to do my garden any time soon! As might be expected, that did not go down well. However, when I complained they were not interested. Messages were either not passed to the managing director or they were not returned. Duncan, the sales guy, stopped responding to emails and calls. Comfortably the worst customer service i've encountered in a long time. I strongly recommend taking your business elsewhere.

SGS Grass holds 4.1 out of 5 from 18 verified reviews, which places it 15th of 26 covering Glasgow on our ranking. Ranking weights the rating for review volume, so a high score backed by hundreds of reviews counts for more than a perfect score backed by three. Read the individual reviews below before deciding — the pattern matters more than the average.
SGS Grass is based in Glasgow (G64 4DW) and appears on our 12 nearest area pages. Most artificial grass installers work within a 20–30 mile radius of their base, but always confirm they cover your postcode before booking a site visit.
We do not hold quoted prices for SGS Grass. As a benchmark, UK installers charge £40–£58 per m² supplied and fitted for a mid-range 30–35mm pile, so a 40m² garden is usually £1,650–£2,350. Ask for a written quote that separates the turf, the sub-base, edging and waste removal — that is where quotes diverge most.
